Reverend Malcolm Grant, vicar of the Church of St Mary The Virgin, Eaton Bray with EdlesboroughThe institution of the Revd Canon Malcolm E Grant as vicar of Eaton Bray with Edlesborough by Christopher, Bishop of St Albans, took place on 3rd July at St Mary's Church in the presence of a very large congregation that included church members, representatives of the secular parish and some most welcome visitors from Scotland.

It was a very happy occasion; our happiness expressed in bells, flowers, beautiful singing by choir and congregation and many smiling faces!

The service is both an act of dedication when we re-dedicate ourselves to God's service and a legal ceremony giving the new incumbent authority to minister in the parish.

It marks a new beginning, not only for Malcolm Grant who has moved such a long way to become our minister, but also for every member of the congregation. We all now open a new chapter as we come together to offer ourselves afresh to God for the work of the Gospel.

We welcome, most warmly, Malcolm Grant and his family to our villages.
