Update on Roof Repairs
Work is progressing well with the replacement of the lead roof over the Chancel. Timber repairs were completed ahead of schedule with less damage being found to the timbers than anticipated. This has resulted in a small savings on cost of this part of the job.
The fixing of the new lead is progressing well and it looks as if we may finish by about the end of May or very early June. This will be ahead of schedule and will result in a further savings on security costs. It is nice to be able to report that, for once, a job will finish quicker and with slightly lower costs than expected.
