The annual sponsored bike ride and walk in support of Beds & Herts Historic Churches Trust takes place on Saturday, 13 September. Volunteers cyclists/walkers can raise money (up to 50% of their sponsorship) for a nominated church, with the rest going to the county fund which makes grants for repairs to historic churches. Are there any volunteer participants from St Mary's? If so, please have a work with one of the churchwardens or use the Contact Us page.

We also need volunteers to be at the church during the day to welcome cyclists/walkers, to sign their cards to show that they have visited this church, and to offer them refreshment. The day has been divided into 2-hour "shifts" from 10.00am to 6.00pm - please sign the list on the table in front of the notice board if you are able to help in this way. Please give up a couple of hours to encourage those who are making an effort to help preserve our historic churches.
