This was the first meeting of the PCC without Malcolm Grant and the meeting was chaired by one of our Churchwardens Chris Banks.

Following the retirement of our other Churchwarden, Deirdrea Ellins, we were pleased to welcome Peter Bennett as her replacement. Peter was elected at an extraordinary meeting of the parishioners held recently in church. Peter has now been inducted by the bishop and can assume his role officially.

We hope to be placing our order for the new pulpit shortly; we are just waiting for an updated quotation.

We are still trying to recruit a new Organist and Choirmaster but we are currently covering all services with a rota of temporary organists.

The annual accounts for 2008/9 were presented and accepted by the PCC ready for our Annual Parochial Church Council Meeting on 21st April.

The main topic for the evening was a discussion on what we need to put into the Parish Profile a document that is produced to send to potential candidates to replace Malcolm Grant. This has to provide details about St Mary's and the parish, the type of activities we are involved in and also to explain our aspirations for the new incumbent.
