Mothers' Union, Eaton Bray With Edlesborough
At the April meeting, Audrey Reynolds gave an overview of her work with Hospice at Home - with no names or personal information given, of course.
This led to other members contributing to a discussion in general terms of the benefits of such voluntary care and assistance in the community and specifically the benefits of a 'friendly visit' to both parties. A special birthday had to be celebrated as Peggy Bearton is now 80 years young and proved it to everyone by wearing an appropriately worded T-shirt, short skirt and seamed tights! As she has obviously had very shapely legs all her life - everyone else was just envious.

,Margaretha Edenholm(Sweden) says:Dear Peggy!
I am happy to know you still are going strong. My parents are now 88 and 89(my mother will be in a couple of weeks) and I am 64. I remember the summer 1964 I was spending with and your family in a country in so many days different from Sweden. Now I am retired from my job as a librarian on the University college of Mälardalen(in Eskilstuna)and I live in a small cottage in the village. I hope you remember me. My kindest regards to you (through Church of St. Mary the Virgin). Margaretha Edenholm
