St Mary's Ladies Guild
Despite the ominous forecasts of wet and windy weather, the intrepid Guild members and their friends ventured out on their annual outing, to visit the Cotswolds.
The coffee stop was at Yarnton Garden and Antique Center, where most of the ladies would happily have spent the whole day but they had to move on to Broadway, for shopping and lunch.
On boarding the coach for Bourton on the Water, the heavens opened and once there, all that could be had was a quick cup of tea.
June Thorne was thanked by Deirdrea on behalf of everyone, for arranging such a lovely outing and for providing wine, biscuits and sweets on the way home.
The singing, (to the new cd purchased that day) and given to the driver to play on the way home, provided much hilarity and members are now known as the 'Black eyed Peas'.
The August Meeting will be Bryan Daniels showing slides on “A world in one country-South Africa”
