Many of you will have been in St Mary's on August 22nd when Gill Chapman, on behalf of the Chapman family, took leave of us. It is with great sadness that we have to report that the Chapmans have now left the Parish and have returned to their home in Hertfordshire.

We know that your love and prayers go with Roger, Gill and John Daniel for this next, challenging, phase of their lives. Arrangements for appointing Roger's successor are in place and the appropriate advertisements will appear twice in September's Church Times with short listing and interviews planned to take place in October. In the meantime we will be working closely with everyone concerned to make sure that the transition to a new Priest will be as seamless as possible.
