The Church Mouse
On March 10th, the PCC welcomed Coralie McCluskey, our new Priest in Charge, to her first meeting. She thanked everyone for the warm welcome she and her family have received from the parish. She thought that her Licensing Service was the best one she had ever attended!
It was agreed to donate £200 to CHUMS from the money reserved for charity giving and £100, the profit from the Fair Trade breakfast, will be invested in Shared Interest.
The Churchwardens reported that they are continuing discussions with Eaton Bray Lions Football Club on the use of the Churchwardens’ land, in Bower Lane, for a training pitch.
The Church roof has been repaired and the wall repainted after the water damage caused by snow blocking the gutters in December.
Malcolm Grant has finished writing the St Mary’s Church Guide Book and it is now ready to be printed.
Peter Bennett is retiring as Churchwarden and was thanked by the PCC for everything he did for the parish during the interregnum; organising services and keeping the administration running smoothly.
