Messy Church
Our first Messy Church session this afternoon was a great success!
It was wonderful to welcome 43 children and over 20 adults to St Mary's where the theme was 'Olympics' and 'Running the Race'.
Although rain stopped us holding our own races, we had fun indoors with edible Olympic torches, gold, silver and bronze iced biscuits, craft and colouring, music and songs.
We were also delighted that Charlotte Ellis, who lives in Eaton Bray and who was one of the official Olympic Torchbearers was able to come to Messy Church to show the children her torch.
The next Messy Church at St Mary's this holiday will take place on Thursday 23rd August 2-4pm and thereafter on the 1st Sunday of the month 3-5pm.
