Church Mouse
The Parochial Church Council met at All Saints Church Dagnall on Thursday 13th September. A range of matters were discussed including, the discovery of early signs of woodworm in church fittings which are to be treated. A donation has been made towards the Eaton Bray Village sign.
A men's Breakfast Club is due to commence in January with quarterly Saturday morning meetings. The first meeting will be a talk about the work of Bletchley Park.
The St Albans Diocese has produced a leaflet explaining the benefit to churches of legacies in wills.
The PCC approved the distribution of the proceeds from the 2012 St Mary's Village Carnival, with £6250 going to the Church fabric Fund; £3125 to the Chemotherapy Unit at the Luton & district Hospital; and the remaining £3125 being divided between 30 local charities, appeals & good causes.
Coralie reported on the start-up of Messy Church – after two trial sessions in August, Sunday afternoon Messy Church began noisily in September and will be happening on the first Sunday of each month – watch out for details.
