Choir hits the right pitch in exams
A group of choristers from St Mary's, Eaton Bray, were on song when they took a key note exam for music.
The four - Rachel Evans, Hayden Elves, Gemma Johnson and Emilie Sanders - sat the Dean's and Bishop's Award examinations for music and came out with merits and distinctions.
The exams are widely recognised as setting high standards and involve singing traditional church choral music, sight reading unseen musical pieces and answering questions about religious services, the Bible and church buildings.
Vicar, the Rev Canon Malcolm Grant, paid tribute to the choristers' hard work, saying, "We are very proud of our young choristers' achievements in attaining such a high standard of musical excellence and are very grateful to our choirmaster, David Radwell, who puts great effort into coaching the young musicians."
