After the Eucharist on Maundy Thursday evening we observe a watch of silent prayer until midnight at the Alter of Repose, commemorating our Lord’s long struggle in prayer in Gethsemane before the ordeal of His betrayal, trial and Passion. The time is divided into half-hour sections - please sign or initial the space for the time you are willing to spend in prayer in church.
