The P.C.C. regrouped on 10/5/12 for their first meeting following the 38th Annual Parish Church Meeting held on 19/4/12.
Two new members were welcomed – John Palmer from Edlesborough and Valerie Lumley from Dagnall.
P.C.C. committee memberships were reviewed and updated and opportunities for new committee members identified. The hope is to 'recruit' new members from the parish to fill these committee slots. Catherine Hayden, in her capacity as Church Warden, signed the form officially approving Coralie as the vicar of the parish. Formally she was priest in charge.
Plans are well underway and were further discussed for Diamond Jubilee celebrations – the children's tea party to be held on 2/6/12 and the special 10 o'clock church service on 3/6/12.
From a fundraising perspective there has been excellent attendance at the regularly-scheduled coffee mornings. Tickets for the upcoming performance of Handel's Messiah on 19/5/12 are currently on sale. It was acknowledged that such support for these events is commendable given the current, difficult economic climate.
Barbara Morton kindly volunteered to use her computer skills to generate a Facebook page. Thought is being given to possible avenues that may encourage young families to join the church and participate in parish activities.
The P.C.C. will next meet on 14/6/12.
