Message from Joy - Second Sunday of Advent
I hope you are all keeping your spirits up despite the gloomy weather. This Sunday we are able to meet in church at 10am to celebrate the second Sunday of Advent. There will also be the online service accessible via the website, St Mary's Facebook page and YouTube channel. See the latest pew leaflet for the online worship service if you want to view or print off a copy.
Bookings are now open for the Christmas Services, and you can find details of the services and how to apply for tickets on the website www.stmaryseatonbray.org.uk and in the centre of Focus. All Christmas services this year are ticket only due to the restrictions on space because of social distancing.
If you are thinking about Christmas presents, here is an idea for you. Catherine Hayden has written a booklet called "Interesting Tales from St Mary's Eaton Bray". It contains a number of historical anecdotes with much new information about people and things connected with St Mary's over the centuries. Catherine tells me it is written in a light-hearted style and I am sure it will be of interest to anyone with a current, or previous, connection to our church. It costs £5, all of which will come to St Mary's, so this is an opportunity to donate to our church as well as to learn more about it. Copies can be purchased form Catherine in church or by email [email protected].
Also to keep you entertained and to raise money for various charities including St Mary's Gordon has launched his annual quiz. Please see ChristmasPuzzle.uk for more information.
With every blessing,
Joy
