Message from Joy - Candlemas

Thank you for the positive feedback we received after last Sunday's livestreamed service from St Mary's. There were a few technical difficulties but Graham Chappell, Stephen Axford and Stephen Burge have been working hard to resolve these. This is new for all of us and we hope to learn as we go. The livestream service will begin at 10am on Sunday and will be available for a week on Facebook, the church YouTube channel and via St Mary's website https://www.stmaryseatonbray.org.uk.

This month's Focus magazine will be online due to lockdown restrictions. To access the magazine, please go to www.thefocusmagazine.co.uk.

Lent is fast approaching and there will be online events for Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. More information to follow on those. Each year the North Chilterns Group of churches which we are a part organises a Lent Course. This year we will meet on zoom, so you may feel able to join in even if you haven't been able to come in the past. We will be reading 'Christianity rediscovered' by Vincent Donovan and discussing it together in small groups. The book can be purchased online as a paperback or on Kindle for about £10. The attached flyer gives all the details and information about how to register your interest. In past years, the Lent Course has been a very enjoyable and stimulating, so I hope you will give it a go this year. Do get in touch with me or Stephen if you have any questions.
