Vicar's Letter
November 2009
As I type this, my initial thoughts are; 1) how can one small family corner the market in packing boxes, 2) where IS that electric screwdriver set, and 3) I'm sure we remembered to bring the menagerie, didn't we?
In our experience, moving is dizzying, all the familiar touchstones are not yet here, and even connecting the phone can seem a herculean task! But the dust is settling! We actually enjoy all the creativity that goes with making a new home.
We do want to take this opportunity to thank all those who have given of their time and skills to help prepare the house for our arrival.
After the fruitcake incident in Letchworth (announcing that I loved it) and putting a stone on in six months, please feel free to stop me as I cycle around the parish and say hello.
Looking forward to getting to know you.
Roger Chapman
